Home Loan Calculator - input
You have the option of calculating the loan repayments, the loan amount or the loan term. From the drop down list select a loan product which will automatically enter the interest rate %pa in the interest rate field. You have the flexibility to change the interest rate if you desire. In addition to this you may also calculate repayments at different frequencies, add an interest only period or see the effect of a lump sum repayment.

Split Loan: If you would like the flexibility offered by a variable interest rate loan but are concerned that interest rates will go up, a split loan may be the answer. A split loan is two loans in one. A portion of your loan can be at a fixed interest rate while leaving the remainder of the loan at a variable rate.

Compare Loan: You can compare two different loan options side by side by selecting this option. Simply amend the loan details as you desire and calculate. You will get a comparison of the two different loan options which will help your loan selection process.

Loan Schedule: This option allows you to view and print the schedule of interest and repayments for the loan you have calculated. The schedule will display the interest charged and the loan repayments that would be made on a yearly basis and a summary position as at the end of the loan term.

Start Again: If you would like to start a fresh calculation you can do so by clicking the start again button.

Back: You can simulate various loan calculations by going back and modifying any of the fields. You can compare fortnightly repayments to monthly repayments by changing the repayment frequency or see the result of a lump sum payment on your loan term.

Fixed Rate, Guaranteed Rate and Discounted Variable Rate Loans: In calculations, it is assumed that a Fixed, Guaranteed or Discounted Variable Rate loan will revert to the Standard Variable Rate at maturity for the remainder of the loan term. Likewise, Special Economiser Rate loans will revert to Economiser Base Variable Rate at maturity for the remainder of the term. (i.e. 5 year Fixed with a 20 year loan term will revert to the Standard Variable Rate at the end of 5 years for the remaining 15 years of the loan).
